Who we are
In 2013, Highstreet Mobile Retail was born believing that the future of shopping is mobile and we can help make online and offline shopping much nicer. Nowadays, more than 50% of e-commerce is taking place on mobile devices. However, the user experience of shopping on smartphones and tablets is far from great. That is what we want to change with Highstreet.
Check our website for more details about what we do and to experience one of our apps, please download the Scotch & Soda app for iOS or Android.
How we work
We drive on smart ideas and great team work. As a front-end engineer you will be working closely with our designers, back-end engineers, product owner and client service engineers. Together, we create amazing retail apps delivering the best mobile shopping experience for our clients.
We embrace your ideas on how to improve the Highstreet platform. You can gain and share knowledge in our monthly dev sessions. We order pizza, have drinks, and enjoy presentations and code workshops together.
We offer a competitive salary, a pension plan, travel expenses, a nice office in the centre of Utrecht and monthly team drinks and activities.
The application process
After filling in the application form, you can expect to go through the following steps, typically over the course of 1-2 week(s):
an introductory phone interview
an in-person meeting (or video call) with the founders
a take-home technical assignment & in-person meeting (or video call) with the front-end lead engineer to discuss your assignment
Once we've gone through these steps and we're both interested to move forward, we'll make you an offer and start counting down to your first day.
Please note: For this vacancy we can only consider candidates who hold a valid EU Passport or Dutch work permit.
